My recent stay at the Market Inn in Castle Douglas far exceeded my high expectations, particularly in terms of service and comfort. The friendly staff went above and beyond, offering to securely store our bikes overnight and recommending a fantastic Indian restaurant when we arrived too late for dinner. The spacious room, which overlooked a lovely park, was modern and thoughtfully equipped, featuring a strong and hot shower that provided a rejuvenating experience after a day of exploring. Breakfast was delightful, with a variety of options that fueled our adventures. I appreciated the easy parking right outside the hotel and the charming little bar that offered reasonably priced drinks, making for a relaxing evening. This family-run gem truly stands out in an area with limited accommodations and made our visit memorable.
